Freshly stained deck

Why stain it now

Unprotected wood doesn't hold up to Carolina summers and winters for long.

Weather protection

Seals out sun & moisture

Stain protects the wood from UV graying and moisture damage that leads to warping, splintering, and rot.

Safety

Catches loose or damaged boards

We flag loose railings, cracked boards, and soft spots during prep, before anyone gets hurt on a weak spot.

Curb appeal

Refreshes the whole yard

A newly stained deck or fence is one of the fastest ways to make the whole outdoor space look cared for.

Built to last

Backed by our warranty

Every staining job is covered by a 2-year workmanship warranty, so you know the finish is meant to hold up.

How we do it

A clean, dry surface is what makes stain soak in evenly and last.

Step 01

Clean

The deck or fence is pressure washed to strip old, failing stain, dirt, mildew, and algae from the wood.

Step 02

Repair

Loose, cracked, or rotted boards are flagged for repair or replacement before we stain.

Step 03

Sand & prep

Rough spots are sanded smooth and the surface is given time to fully dry before staining.

Step 04

Stain & seal

A solid stain is applied evenly across every surface, sealing the wood against sun and moisture.

Common questions

Do we use paint or stain?

Stain. A solid stain shows off the wood grain and holds up to sun and moisture better than paint, without the peeling and flaking paint eventually does outdoors.

Do we repair damaged boards?

Yes. Loose, cracked, or rotted boards are flagged and repaired or replaced before we clean and stain.

How long before we can walk on it?

Typically 24-48 hours for foot traffic and about a week before moving furniture back, depending on weather and humidity.

How often does a deck need restaining?

Most decks in our climate need restaining every 2-3 years, depending on sun exposure and foot traffic.

What's covered by the workmanship warranty?

Every job includes a 2-year workmanship warranty covering peeling or adhesion issues tied to our cleaning and staining work, not normal weathering from sun and rain.

Do we work outside of Greensboro?

Yes. We serve Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Jamestown, Oak Ridge, Summerfield, Stokesdale, Archdale, Clemmons, Gibsonville, Burlington, Reidsville, Rural Hall, and the surrounding Triad.
